Latin American Trade Development

The Latin American Trade Development Program creates and strengthens trade relationships between Pennsylvania and New Jersey companies and companies in Latin America. In light of the number of trade agreements the United States has recently signed with Latin American countries, and the volume of exported products to the region, there are tremendous opportunities to develop export sales from our region to these emerging markets.

This program helps companies target markets and develop market entry strategies for the region through seminars, one-on-one counseling, trade missions and international distributor searches.

The WTCGP has organized a number of trade missions to Latin America; most recently in October 2012, to São Paulo, Brazil and Lima, Peru. While in São Paulo, trade mission attendees were invited to a networking dinner with members of world trade centers worldwide attending the annual World Trade Centers Association General Assembly.

The WTCGP also plans to lead a trade mission to Colombia in October 2012. This program is funded in part by Pennsylvania’s Department of Community and Economic Development’s (DCED) Office of International Business Development.
